Of traditional floral style on bright red ground, central yonic medallion in cream and deep blues, with highly elaborate floral border; with old "Made in Iran" cotton label, 12' 7" x 8' 9". Provenance: from a Somerville, Massachusetts house. Condition Note: areas of loss and evidence of earlier moth damage to the rug (see photos); old repairs and stains.
