This original drypoint by the British artist David Young Cameron measures 4 1/2" x 13 7/8". It is pencil signed and titled, in an edition of about 50 proofs, 1925, R. 466, fourth state. Cameron was born in Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art and at the Edinburgh School of Art, becoming one of the great artist of the British etching revival of the early 20th century. Known for his rich, atmospheric images, Cameron often used rich contrasts and deep shadows to create his images of the European landscape and architecture.
