Oil on canvas painting, dedicated and signed lower right, "William L. Smith, from HM Lowd, 1939, with the artist's pencil notations on stretcher with title "(indecipherable) off Cape Sable" and another inscription, "Sent to W.L. Smith from Harry Lowd, 1939 May". 7 1/2" x 16 1/2", framed to 9 1/2" x 18 1/2". Presented as a gift by the artist to the late husband of our consignor.
