This is a fine original etching by American artist William M. Chase. The subject is: The Court Jester. This impression was printed on a thin Japan type sheet, tipped to a heavier backing sheet. This was published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston in 1886. This printing on Japan type paper was limited to an edition of 40. The image measures 5 3/4" x 3 1/2". This impression is signed within the image lower left.
