Portfolio written by James Michener, prints and sketches by Jack Levine. First limited edition, numbered 804/2500, Maecenas Press, Random House, New York, 1970, signed in pen and ink on colophon sheet by Jack Levine and James Michener. Part I of this folio contains text by James Michener, four original lithographs by Levine, and one original "hors-texte" woodblock. Part II contains Levine's sketchbook with 54 pochoir and phototype process reproductions of his watercolors, gouaches and drawings, finished by hand. All contained in a silk clamshell box with goatskin closure.
